Middle School Showcase!

Brian had his middle school showcase. I'm proud of him and all his hard work. He worked hard in science and did a report on the importance of clean water. He also built a solar oven from a pizza box and made a terrarium. Math was all about division ! He worked hard on that concept! He also learned to LOVE English this year, thanks to a great teacher. He read Phantom Tollbooth, A river between us and Thunder rolling in the mountains. He also did a book report on one of his idols; Jackie Robinson. His highlights were woodshop where he built a whale, writing for the school newspaper and art where his teacher always gave him candy. He really enjoyed showing us around the school with his friends. Feeling thankful that his first year in middle school went so well.

This was one of his favorite things to do this year; solar pizza oven. He even supplied all the pizza boxes he was so excited. I love how he drew the ocean on the front, not surprising for my water boy!

Terrarium. He even talked his beloved Gaga into giving him one of her mason jars to build one at home!

As his love of English grew, so did his quality of work. He worked so hard on a book report on Jackie Robinson.

Math! This year really challenged him but he worked HARD. He told me once how he worked hard and asked for help and wasn't ashamed of it! I'm proud of him. Division is not for the faint of heart.
