Activity Days

Bubba is a lucky boy. Once a month, he gets together with all the other kids his age from his church and have an activity. They do all sorts of activities that often go along with the season/holiday. Brian really enjoys these once a month activities and often invites his cousin and school friends. The best part? His very own beloved Gaga and Papa are the leaders of Activity Days.

The kids all fill out goals at the start of the year- emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual. They each do an activity to go along with said goal. Brian wrote down in the section for his intellectual goal that he wanted to learn to draw better. His Gaga suggested that Origami had to do with art and that he should share his talent by teaching a class on it and in doing so, passing off his intellectual goal.

Brian planned out what he wanted to teach the other kids. His grandparents where a big help. They helped him plan everything out and even took him shopping to get supplies one day. Brian made 4 pieces of origami and brough them as a visual for the class. He told me before how nervous he was.

His beloved Papa joined right in a was eager to join and learn from his grandson.

He had a good showing of kids who showed up and where interested in learning too.

His cousin Jaxon who turns 8 this year came too. It was too cute watching the cousins.

Teaching his Gaga how it is done. Man, I have SO many memories in this exact room and building as a youth. I love it that Brian can experience the same thing as I did.

He told me afterwards who much he enjoyed teaching.

Afterwards they all went to the gym and flew around the airplanes that they just made. All in all it made for a fun night with Brian teaching one of his favorite hobbies. He ended the night with a cousin sleepover at this Grandparents,
