Sugar House!

I have often said that Brian and Annie's life is very enriched because of his Grandparents. I am so glad that Brian has a chance to spend time with his Grandparents and gets to see them regularly. His Papa is always coming up with such fun adventures for the kids. Last Friday, he asked if Brain would like to go learn about maple syrup from a local sugar house.

Haha! The owner let him carry the hammer. He does look like a real lumberjack in his boats.

The owner let Brian use all his tools to let him do all the work. Here he is learning how to tap the tree. It was actually quite a quick process!

He got to taste fresh sap!

This was such a neat sound...drip, drip, drip. He loved listening to it.

Taking a peak!

The owner was so nice to take us into the sugar house and Brian got to learn the process of turning sap into syrup. The really loved learning about the process.

He even helped sort and it package it at the end. Papa even bought him the biggest size bottle to take home for pancakes.

He even got a free sample at then end. Thanks, Papa!
