Summer

Summer so far has been CRAZY. We have settled into a nice routine though....Swimming at Grandma Stormys, town splash pad, slip and slide at Gaga's and Papa's, more swimming, beach days, more swimming, play dates, running through the sprinklers and Popsicle's every night before bed.

Although he is in his bathing suit 90 % of the time in the summer, this was one lazy afternoon at home just relaxing. I caught him in his room reading Dr. Seuss. We are participating in our local library summer reading program and 1,000 books before kindergarden. So far we have read about 400 books together. I think it has really helped him develop a good interest in books.

Typical lazy morning before the craziness of the day begins. He loves his new workbook and he keeps asking me to give him jobs to do so he can "work like Daddy!"

We are frequent visitors of our town splash pad. He loves running through the Rainbow and standing under the water buckets waiting for them to tip so he can get drenched. He often finds kids to play with here and has the best time.

Spending time with his beloved Papa in the garden and learning how to make french toast!

We took Brian to the beach the other day and he had a ball. He could have easily stayed there ALL DAY LONG if we let him. Here he is running from the waves before they crash on him. This has been his favorite beach game since he was a year old. This could also easily be one of my favorite pictures of him this summer. He keeps telling me "Mom, I have never been to the beach before at age 4!'

Some more beach fun. He loves jumping over the waves as well. We also got him a butterfly net and he spend quite a bit of time fishing in the ocean with it. No fish, only seaweed.

We took Brian to the zoo one day and this was his reaction upon entering and seeing all the animals....Priceless!

Funny boy, he only will pet animals in the middle and never near their face!

He really enjoyed he butterfly exhibit and spent quite a bit of time seeing if one would come over to him.

OK, so Brian was too afrid to feed the ducks but loved petting the snake!?!?

I love this picture. This is his reaction with a goat sneezed in his face. He just laughed it off. I admire his attitude!

Family shot! 8 1/2 months pregnant! Lady will be here soon!

Having fun with his friend Weston at a Hawaii themed birthday party!

Swimming with his best friend Bo in Grandma Stormy's pool. Man, I have so many memories of swimming in that pool as a teenager and now my son will also. These two are too cute to watch interact!

Just a cute one of Brian near the pool one morning. See, he does live in his swimsuit in the summer.

Riding his bike and bringing his game face aka.. tongue out!
