Easter 2016

Easter was great this year. We felt the spirit of the wonderful and meaningful holiday for the whole month. Although Brian was excited for the Easter bunny, he is old enough to understand the real meaning of this holiday.

We have a few Easter traditions that are so fun to carry on. We always get together with our Best Friend Bo and his sister Ivy and dye Easter eggs. Brian really found the whole process interesting and loved seeing what color the eggs where when he took them out of the dye.

Decorating and eating Easter Cookies. Man, kids make you really enjoy holidays.

Our good friends host a huge Easter Breakfast and egg hunt every year. It really was the highlight of the holiday for Brian. Here he is excited to eat one of his favorite foods; bacon!

Sitting with his friends and listening to an Easter message. He was very interested in what was being said.

The whole group! I am so thankful everyday that Brian is surrounded by such a good group of friends. This was the calm before the storm.....aka the egg hunt.

The split the kids up by age and Brian wanted to be with the big boys :)

Ready.....

And he is off!

Before the hunt started, Brian announced to everyone that he wanted to find a yellow egg! Well, he searched high and low and did just that. He was quite proud of himself.

It was fun to watch him get so into it.

His Daddy helping him find a giant Superman size egg. He was very excited about that1

Opening up all his loot. I love his expressions in these two pictures. It truly shows the magic of this holiday. He LOVED going through each egg and seeing what he got.

The Easter Bunny came Sunday morning before Church and left some eggs and toys for Brian. I loved spending Easter morning in my own home this year!

Opening his Easter Basket. He got candy, a bubble maker, a Spiderman fishing pool and activity book and a new outfit. He loved it.

Brian "sang" in the childerns choir on Easter Sunday. It was so happy that he got up there since he was a little nervous. The program was so good and I was a little sad that Easter was almost over.

After Church we went to my parents and had another Easter hunt. The Easter bunny knows Brian well since he left Spiderman stuff at their house too!
