Christmas 2014

 

 

Christmas 2014 was such a memorable and enjoyable one. It is the first year where Brian grasped the concept of Christmas. Although is he deathly afraid of Santa, he was excited for him to come to his house Christmas Eve. We where lucky enough to spend it in New England with family. Oh how I love this Holiday with the little one....

 
Christmas Eve day was spent at the beach. We took Brian to the Ocean for a nature walk and to see the boats. He loved the beach and he enjoyed one of his favorite pastimes with his Dad; skipping rocks!

Brian also enjoyed writing in the sand. He enlisted his Dad for help to draw letters and numbers. These two are so cute to watch together.

                                            
He was pretty Stoked he found a crab. This picture is funny seeing as on Christmas Eve, we had traditional New England Calm Chowder. It was fresh with seafood from the local waters.

 

 

This year, we started a new tradition of giving Brian a Christmas Eve Box. The box included all sorts of essential goodies you need for Christmas Eve. He got his Christmas PJ's, a Christmas Book- Dream Snow by Eric Carle (great choice Mom) and his very own Mickey Mouse ornament to put on the tree.

Brian woke up Christmas Morning to a Train table! That was his big gift. Santa stayed up late the night before making sure everything was set up for it. It was so worth it. His reaction upon seeing it Christmas morning was priceless! He just kept looking at it and kept saying "oh my goodness!" 

 

Brian enjoys staying on his Papa's lap when all the craziness of the presents are going one. He helped Brian unwrap the gifts and helped him set up all his toys. Brian was so very blessed with so many loved ones who gave him gifts. My favorite part was how thankful he was for everything.

Andy made out pretty good on Christmas Day too. I made him a picture book of his life before he was a Dad. It was Brian's gift to him. Although he liked the book, he was more excited about his Garth Brook Concert tickets he got :) The rest of the day consisted of eating our traditional Baked Oven French Toast and having family over to open more gifts and eat more! It was such a perfect day!
