Snowboarding

Brian has a new hobby; snowboarding. During Christmas time, Brian went sledding down his grandparents backyard hill but instead on sitting on a sled, he stood and rode it like a snowboard. My parents asked if he wanted to try an actual snowboard and he said yes! So, my parents took Brian away for a weekend (1st sole trip without us) up to their time share! They rented some gear and got Brian his own private snowboarding lesson at a ski resort! He loved it. He was taught how to put on all the gear, balance and ride the ski lift. He caught on pretty quick and was able to get in quite a few rides after his lesson. The instructor told him the key was balancing and Brian has plenty of practice with that from swim team, so I think that really helped. He loved riding the ski lift and going down the bunny hill. I thought he was one lucky boy to experience this.

Brian went this week with his beloved Papa at a ski resort close to us. He did some night snowboarding this time and LOVED it. He also had Papa help him up the hill after his ski runs, he called it the Papa Lift.

One young man in our church outgrew his snowboard and gifted it to Brian. He was so excited to carry it out of church one Sunday. It was so amazed and so thankful. So his beloved Gaga took him to the sports store in town and got him all decked out in snowboarding gear! She got him sized for snowboarding boots, got him a helmet and even a bat for baseball season. He is all set now. Thank you Gaga and Papa. Brian's life is so enriched because of you guys!
