Although Brian is 3, I decided to wait another year to send him to a formal Pre-School setting. When I taught Preschool, I always thought it was better to have your child at the older end of the class rather than the younger. So we will wait one more year and then send him. He has a great group of friends his age that are waiting too, so we decided to do a one day a week Pre-School Co-Op.

His Gaga took him to the store and let him pick out his very own backpack. He was so excited to use it on his first day. Here he is pretending to be a shark.

We started off be doing a circle time and singing a weather and a days of the week song.
Of course you have to stop what you are doing and watch the garbage man collect the trash!!
Our theme of the day was name recognition. For a sensory activity, I dyed rice different colors and hid foam letters in the bowls and they had to go searching for the letters to spell out their names.

We read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom ( a cute book about letters) and made our own coconut trees with construction paper. We had a worksheet that read "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, will there be enough room? Brian has 5 letters in his name!" We then wrote out our name and counted how many letters where in our names.
Our last activity was making our own coconut trees! We used pretzel rods (the tree), green apples (the leafs) and chocolate chips for the coconuts. The kids had a really good time putting it all together and then eating it.
And ending the day with a fun game of duck duck goose! It was a fun morning with the kids.
Later that night, we went bowling with some friends. This is Brian's game face!
He thought it was so funny to roll a gutter ball!
He loved the glow bowling part! He did pretty good.
